The Farrelly brothers prove once again that no topic is taboo when it comes to their non-PC brand of humour. Here, they shine the bad-taste spotlight on conjoined twins and deliver a slapstick tale that's full of fun. Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear play the anatomically attached brothers, a well-liked duo who quit their sleepy home town in favour of exploitative LA when amateur dramatics performer Kinnear decides he wants to become a serious actor. Despite the questionable subject matter, the film is not nearly as outrageous as it sounds. The material never becomes more than mildly offensive, and when it does get on an amusing, near-the-knuckle roll, laughter-killing sentiment cuts the moment short. Where the movie excels is in the obvious sight gags afforded by the twins' condition, made even more of a guilty pleasure by Damon and Kinnear's strong chemistry and a great send-up performance by Cher as a super-bitch version of herself.

In Martha's Vineyard, Mass., conjoined twins Walt and Bob Tenor make the best of their handicap by being the fastest grill cooks in town. While outgoing Walt hopes to one day become a famous actor, shy Bob prefers to stay out of the spotlight. When a fading Hollywood actress, Cher, decides to get her show "Honey and the Beaze" cancelled, she hires Walt -- and his brotherly appendage -- as her costars. But their addition surprisingly achieves the opposite.
