Freckle-faced Lindsay Lohan is the American youngster who steps into Hayley Mills's shoes for this update of the 1961 original. Lohan plays twins separated not long after birth, one growing up with British wedding-gown designer Natasha Richardson, the other with her ex-husband, American vineyard owner Dennis Quaid. Meeting by chance at an American summer camp, the twins plot to bring their parents back together. Thanks to seamless special effects, it's impossible to tell there aren't really two Lohans, and, despite its loose grasp of London's geography and lifestyles, this unashamedly sentimental comedy hits all the right buttons and will delight its target audience of young girls.
