"A passion. An obsession. A love that destroyed everyone it touched."
- Director: Peter Kosminsky
- Genre: Drama, Romance,
- Studio: Paramount Pictures
- Subtitled | Widescreen | Duration: 110 Mins
|
Overview:
Why there was a need to remake the superb Laurence Olivier/Merle Oberon classic adaptation of the Brontë novel is one question. And then why remake it so badly is the other. Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche are poorly directed by Peter Kosminsky in this tepid tale of Heathcliff, the wild child orphan, and Cathy, his lover who has ideas above her station. Binoche struggles with her English while the pair of them fail to raise even the semblance of sexual chemistry. A film that really should never have been made, it'll have you running back to the book to remember just how good it is.
