The vine-swinging hero (Christopher Showerman, replacing original star Brendan Fraser) returns with wife Ursula (Julie Benz) and son George Jr (Angus T Jones) in tow in this cheeky, colourful sequel. The plot sees George facing the loss of both family and home when Ursula's mother brings former fiancé Lyle to steal her back and bulldoze Ape Mountain. It's a breezy enough sequel, and well-paced, and as such, could pass the time well enough, but only if you're addicted to elephant dung jokes and are happy to put up with Showerman's reasonable impersonation of Fraser's goofy charm.

George and Ursula now have a son, George Junior, so Ursula's mother arrives to try and take them back to "civilization".
