"Some families have all the fun."
- Director: Dave Payne
- Genre: Family, Comedy, Fantasy, Thriller, TV Movie
- Studio: Saban Entertainment
- Duration: 90 Mins
|
Overview:
Even the Addams family themselves would be turning in their graves over this one. Carel "Lurch" Struycken aside, none of the original stars of the excellent first two films is back for this cheap TV-movie cash-in. Tim Curry and Daryl Hannah take on the Raul Julia and Anjelica Huston roles with enthusiasm, but they can't do anything with the unfunny, childish script, and their spirited performances are further hampered by the slapdash special effects. Talented supporting players such as Ed Begley Jr and Kevin McCarthy are also wasted. The story finds the Addams causing mayhem at a reunion for the more normal members of the family, while two grasping relatives come unstuck when they sneak into their decaying mansion. It's marginally better than the appalling new TV series - but only just.
