"BETRAYED BY HIS SONG-SAVED BY HIS GUN!"
- Director: Sam Newfield
- Genre: Western
- Studio: Sigmund Neufeld Productions
- Duration: 65 Mins
|
Overview:
This now-forgotten B western in the Lone Rider series stars former opera singer George Houston, a "cowboy" born in New Jersey who also managed brief appearances in more major works such as 1938's The Great Waltz and Marie Walewska with Greta Garbo. The series numbered 15 titles in all, kicking off in 1941 with six, of which this was the fifth, released in August of that year. The films are virtually identical, and there's some pleasure to be had in seeing the same costumes, props and casts reused again and again. And, of course, the same plots recycled with slight variations.
