A sorority prank goes wrong resulting in a sister's death in a horror clearly aimed at aficionados of the Prom Night remake. Eight months after the unfortunate accident, the remaining girls are celebrating graduation when a hooded killer starts picking them off in a slapdash slasher that fails to avoid the pitfalls plaguing other maniac-on-the-loose knock-offs. Director Stewart Hendler's stylish-looking update of 1983 cult original The House on Sorority Row (renamed House of Evil in the UK) discards the mutant-baby revenge plot and goes for the obvious whodunnit route, with the coven of sassy sisters indulging in a cartoonish bitch-fest that gets increasingly funnier and more inappropriate as the film wends its way to an unremarkable reveal. (The murders - with a customised tyre iron - may not look that nice, but the outfits sure are pretty.) Carrie Fisher gives the dullness a lift as a gun-toting, no-nonsense den mother, but Rumer Willis (daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore) barely convinces as one of the ill-fated girls of Theta Pi.

When five sorority girls inadvertently cause the murder of one of their sisters in a prank gone wrong, they agree to keep the matter to themselves and never speak of it again, so they can get on with their lives. This proves easier said than done, when after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five of them and anyone who knows their secret.
