The sequel to the original 1958 horror hit is a more standard black-and-white B-movie retelling of the same story, with Brett Halsey playing Al (later David) Hedison's son, repeating his father's teleportation tinkering with similarly disastrous results. Thankfully Vincent Price is back, again playing the concerned uncle, and goes a long way towards keeping things buzzing along. But, aside from a few horrific moments in a mortuary and the sick guinea pig experiment, director Edward Bernds (best known for his Three Stooges work) sadly stresses plot gimmicks at the expense of an involving story. Price himself always joked that he wanted this inevitable follow-up to be called "The Zipper".

Fifteen years after his father's experiments with matter transmission fail, Philippe Delambre and his uncle François attempt to create a matter transmission device on their own. However, their experiments have disastrous results, turning Philippe into a horrible half-man, half-fly creature.
