Oscar-nominee Mary McDonnell (Dances with Wolves) portrays a small-town Florida woman who must pick up the pieces after husband William Russ (from TV's Boy Meets World) dumps her for their daughter's fifth-grade teacher. Initially angry and depressed, she slowly begins to pick up the pieces of her life, much to the chagrin of her faithless spouse. What starts out as an interesting portrait of a wife struggling to find happiness deteriorates into a standard "woman done wrong, then gets strong" string of clichés. At its best when depicting the downward spiral of the jilted heroine, this TV movie stumbles with the tacked-on melodramatic ending. For viewers depressed about their life, the crises faced by McDonnell will make their problems seem positively trivial by comparison.

Linda and George live in a small town. He is the school principal. They are about to celebrate their 16th anniversary. She catches him with her daughter's young teacher, and has to deal with the kids, the town and her love to him.
