Writing an exposé of the Californian fitness industry to keep busy while chasing a drug story, Rolling Stone reporter John Travolta falls in love with Jamie Lee Curtis, the aerobics guru whose club he intends to destroy in his feature. Director James Bridges's air-head film is one of the prime reasons Travolta fell out of favour before his Pulp Fiction rediscovery. Yet both he and Curtis look fabulous in their work-out sequences - of which there are far too many, mind you - and their appealing chemistry does get the now very dated premise over the rough patches and into shape.
