A horror movie fan encounters a real-life demon and becomes convinced the only person who can save his small town from the creature is Bruce Campbell, square-jawed hero of the Evil Dead movies. Tracking the actor down to the set of his latest movie, the deluded fan discovers his idol is an arrogant, lecherous drunk - but kidnaps him anyway to force him to save the day.
