Wesley Snipes plays the half-mortal, half-vampire who hunts down creatures of the night in this flashy and very violent action adventure based on the popular Marvel Comics character. Aided by gruff-and-tough Kris Kristofferson, he sets out to thwart the evil schemes of fellow vampire Stephen Dorff, whose plans include running a nightclub that will supply humans for his fiendish pals to feed on. This is far-fetched stuff indeed, but Snipes looks great in leather, it's snappily paced and the performances are perfectly tongue in cheek.

The Daywalker known as "Blade" - a half-vampire, half-mortal man - becomes the protector of humanity against an underground army of vampires.
