"All is fair in love and Rome."
- Director: Mark Steven Johnson
- Genre: Comedy, Fantasy, Romance
- Studio: Krasnoff / Foster Entertainment
- Subtitled | Widescreen | Duration: 105 Mins
|
Overview:
In this yawnsome romantic comedy, newly-dumped New York museum curator Beth (Kristen Bell) travels to Rome for her sister's wedding and takes some coins from a magical fountain. In consequence, she finds herself hotly pursued by the now-spellbound men who threw them in there: an artist with a foot fetish, a narcissistic male model, an annoying street magician and a sausage maker who is "big in bratwurst". True love seems to lie with relatively normal sports journalist Nick (Josh Duhamel) - or does it? When in Rome is watchable enough, albeit in a cheesily inept way, but is far less magical than its storyline. Even the title is a misnomer - the film is largely set in New York and, like guest stars Danny DeVito, Anjelica Huston and Don Johnson, the Eternal City only cameos.
