"Vengeance is the ultimate weapon."
- Director: Philip G Atwell
- Genre: Mystery & Suspense, Action & Adventure,
- Studio: Lionsgate
- Subtitled | Duration: 130 Mins

Overview:
Hong Kong martial artist Jet Li and British bruiser Jason Statham last starred together in sci-fi oddity The One (2001), in which Statham played second fiddle to not one but two Jet Lis. Six years on things have changed: Li's Hollywood career has faltered somewhat, while Statham has carved out an action-man niche for himself in enjoyably silly outings like the Transporter movies and the two Crank films. Here he plays an FBI agent chasing a mysterious hitman (Li) who's murdering the members of rival yakuza and Triad gangs. It's a set-up ripe for brainless action, if only director Philip G Atwell (a veteran of music videos for Xzibit and 50 Cent) could cope with the convoluted screenplay's reams of plot exposition. The quick-fire editing merely adds to the general confusion about who's doing what to whom, while sporadic fight scenes involving samurai swords and the odd ninja prove disappointingly perfunctory.
