This excruciatingly vulgar comedy fantasy is an absolute stinker. Ten-year-old Patrick Smash (Bruce Cook) was born with two stomachs, which cause him to break wind continuously. When his boffin pal Alan A Allen (Harry Potter's Rupert Grint) designs a pair of Heath Robinson-like trousers allowing flatulence storage, Patrick's power-farting attracts the attention of the US Space Center which is in desperate need of a new method of propulsion. A total waste of everyone's time and talent, Peter Hewitt's dismally juvenile caper is tediously and relentlessly unamusing. Lacking any charm whatsoever, even in its retro Beano-style design and lampoons of other better movies, this pathetic British embarrassment is, quite frankly, pants.

An 11-year-old boy's amazing ability to break wind leads him first to fame and then to death row, before it helps him to fulfill his ambition of becoming an astronaut.
