Oh, dear! A terrorist has passed on a deadly plague to the passengers of a luxury express train, which has to be rerouted across a rickety bridge to a deserted concentration camp in order to prevent a worldwide epidemic. Burt Lancaster, the mastermind behind this cunning diversion, had the right idea when he suggested blowing the train to smithereens - ideally with the film inside. There were better effects and more thrills in Gromit's train chase with the penguin in The Wrong Trousers. Like Lancaster, Sophia Loren, Richard Harris, Ingrid Thulin and Ava Gardner should have known better.
