A couple and their young son move to another city, and find themselves feeling adrift in a strange place. Things seem to change for the better when they meet another family and spend the evening at their new friends' house - but things quickly take a disturbing turn once the kids are in bed. Alex, Emily, and their son, RJ, are new to Los Angeles. A chance meeting at the park introduces them to the mysterious Kurt, Charlotte, and Max. A family “playdate” becomes increasingly interesting as the night goes on.
