The leaders of the tiny European duchy of Grand Fenwick decide to solve their bankruptcy problem by declaring war on the USA. They confidently expect to lose and thereby qualify for economic aid - but the plan takes an unexpected turn for the worse when the Americans surrender. Comedy, starring Peter Sellers in three roles, with Jean Seberg, William Hartnell, David Kossoff and Leo McKern.

The Duchy of Grand Fenwick decides that the only way to get out of their economic woes is to declare war on the United States, lose and accept foreign aid. They send an invasion force (in chain mail, armed with bows and arrows) to New York and they arrive during a nuclear drill that has cleared the streets.
