John Carradine (as famed horror writer R Chetwynd-Hayes) travels to a Transylvanian disco where bloodsucker Vincent Price (playing a vampire for the first and only time) relates three macabre stories of varying quality in a shaky anthology based on Chetwynd-Hayes's tales of terror and complicated ghoul genealogy. Included in the pseudo-hip monster mash is a Shadmock whose silent whistle is fatal to mortals, a band of Mafia-type undead chasers with stakes in their violin cases, and the Humgoos who wreak havoc on a film director looking for a creepy location. Worth watching for the all-star cast alone, including Donald Pleasence, Britt Ekland and Simon Ward, and for appearances by the Pretty Things and UB40.

A vampire attacks a horror author on the street and then invites him to a nearby club as a gesture of gratitude, which turns out to be a meeting place for assorted creatures of the night. The vampire then regales him with three stories, each interspersed with musical performances at the club.
