During Jackie Chan's deserved rise to mainstream American acceptance, he has left us a legacy of sometimes daft, sometimes awful, but always enjoyable Hong Kong movies. This is a typical example. Forget the artefact smuggling plot (the writer obviously did), it's the action that counts. A fight aboard a train and a bout with an axe-wielding gang are standouts. Star and director clashed during filming; Chan subsequently took over the reins himself. As with all of his movies, stay to the end to catch the outtakes that play with the closing credits, usually showing stunts that backfired.

Returning home with his father after a shopping expedition, Wong Fei-Hong is unwittingly caught up in the battle between foreigners who wish to export ancient Chinese artifacts and loyalists who don't want the pieces to leave the country. Fei-Hong must fight against the foreigners using his Drunken Boxing style, and overcome his father's antagonism as well.
