"Nic and Jules had the perfect family, until they met the man who made it all possible."
- Director: Lisa Cholodenko
- Genre: Drama, Comedy,
- Studio: Mandalay Vision
- Subtitled | Widescreen | Duration: 120 Mins

Overview:
Though it concerns a married lesbian couple with teenage children by the same anonymous sperm-donor father, The Kids Are All Right is a surprisingly universal comic drama that should strike a chord with many more conventional couples. Nic (Annette Bening), a doctor, is the practical, focused half of the pair, while Jules (Julianne Moore) is a more scatty, creative type, and their already volatile relationship is tested further when their son seeks out his birth father - easy-going restaurateur Paul (Mark Ruffalo). The kids take to Paul first, then, surprisingly, so do Nic and Jules, but when the latter embarks on a reckless affair with him, this unlikely love-in comes unstuck. The set-up is especially middle-class - Paul grows his own organic food, Jules is a landscape gardener - but some pitch-perfect performances really bring out the emotion of the situation. Best of all is Bening, capping even her performance in American Beauty, as a woman forced to face her partner's betrayal.
