Overview:
Biopic of 1930s singer-turned-comedian Joe E Lewis. The performer's musical career is cut short when he angers the Mafia, and ends up having his vocal chords cut so he cannot sing. He is helped to get back on his feet by a friend and becomes a successful stand-up comic, but develops a dangerous love of drinking and gambling. Starring Frank Sinatra and Mitzi Gaynor.
