Loni Anderson, Burt Reynolds's ex-missus, plays the rather tragic figure of the 1950s sex symbol whose ample proportions helped to market her as a poor man's Marilyn Monroe. In this questionably accurate made-for-TV biopic, Mansfield is portrayed as a hard nut who will do anything for stardom. Starring opposite Anderson is Arnold Schwarzenegger as her body-builder husband Mickey Hargitay. Everybody has to start somewhere.
