Co-adapted by Dean R Koontz from his own novel, this unexceptional effort splices together two suspense favourites; the serial killer and the average guy who summons up extraordinary powers to try to save the day. Too episodic by half, and not always given the right pacey touch by director Farhad Mann, this does sport the odd engaging twist, even if its premise the hero is a mountaineer who survives an ever-so-handy fall, picking up immense psychic abilities in the process is a little far-fetched.
