"Sometimes the Best Friends Are the Ones You've Known Your Whole Life."
- Director: Edward Burns
- Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Indie
- Studio: Videography
- Duration: 115 Mins
|
Overview:
Edward Burns starred as handsome soldier Reiben in Saving Private Ryan, but he's better known as a noted director of quirky independent movies. He made his directorial debut with this endearing look at the mixed up romantic lives of three Irish Catholic brothers (played by Burns, Mike McGlone and Jack Mulcahy) who share the family home in New York following their widowed mother's return to Ireland. Dealing with unusually heavyweight topics for a comedy drama, issues such as religious ethics and sexual morality, the literate and amusing script keeps things bubbling along nicely as Burns establishes himself as a high-achiever on a low budget.
