"Sometimes the only way to find yourself... is to lose yourself in someone else's life."
- Director: Gillies MacKinnon
- Genre: Drama, Foreign
- Studio: Ferndale Films
- Subtitled | Widescreen | Duration: 95 Mins

Overview:
Andie MacDowell and Olivia Williams add class to a predictable yet engaging drama, playing two women from opposite sides of the Atlantic who swap homes in a bid to escape their problems. While their characters are exaggerated stereotypes - just like everyone else in the film - they enrich the roles with a warmth and poignancy that make the soap opera-style events seem more real. The project's barely a stretch for director Gillies MacKinnon (Small Faces, Hideous Kinky) but he mirrors his leading ladies' proficiency, applying a light touch and striking a balance between humour and serious emotion. As adaptations go, it's superior fluff though fans of Maeve Binchy's source novel might disapprove of the material's over-simplification and easy resolution.
