"The most terrifying images are the ones that are real."
- Director: Masayuki Ochiai
- Genre: Drama, Horror, Mystery & Suspense,
- Studio: Regency Enterprises
- Widescreen | Duration: 100 Mins
|
Overview:
Upscale photographer Joshua Jackson takes his new wife Rachael Taylor to Japan on assignment, where they are involved in a car accident caused by a spooky figure on the road, who then disappears. Jackson subsequently finds his pictures marred by weird streaks of light - could it be the work of unhappy spirits from beyond the grave? This bland American "refreshment" of the not-very-good-anyway 2004 Thai hit evokes yawns rather than scares as director Masayuki Ochiai moves the already over-exposed plot further towards its obvious precedents, The Ring and The Grudge. An even bigger problem, however, is that the script continually changes its own rules in an attempt to produce twists that might jolt the viewer awake.
