This sequel about the former military robot Number Five, now Johnny Five, has several moments of humour (becoming involved with a bank robbery, for example), but too many minutes of tedium as it wonders whether to be social satire or pratfall parody. Fisher Stevens returns as the Indian co-inventor of the robot, and again his clichéd character is infuriating, representing the kind of prejudice Johnny Five is supposed to be against.

Robot Johnny 5 moves to the city to help his friend Ben Jahrvi with his toy manufacturing enterprise, only to be manipulated by criminals who want to use him for their own nefarious purposes.
