This musical crime comedy from veteran director Gordon Douglas was the final fling of Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack. It's Robin Hood in Prohibition-era Chicago, with gangsters battling for control of the city. Sinatra introduces My Kind of Town (Chicago Is ...), Bing Crosby and Dean Martin join him in Style, and Peter Falk, Barbara Rush (as Marian) and Edward G Robinson, no less, decorate the fringes. Funny, irreverent and very enjoyable, this movie really has the look and feel of a warm-hearted Christmas treat.

Set in Prohibition era Chicago, bootlegger Robbo and his cronies refuse to pay the greedy Guy Gisborne a cut of their profits after Guy shoots mob boss Big Jim and takes over. When Big Jim's daughter, Marian, gives Robbo a large sum, believing he has avenged her father's death, the gangster donates to an orphanage, cementing his reputation as a softhearted hood.
