Second World War American airmen on a mission over occupied Europe are attacked by a horde of mysterious winged monsters. Forced to crash land in enemy territory, they encounter a resistance fighter who reveals that the creatures have been summoned to fight for the Nazis by a sinister ritual, and that the only hope of destroying them is to recover a legendary magical sword.
