Notable mainly for being the first and only Canadian/Lebanese martial arts movie, this was obviously a labour of love for producer/director/star Jalal Merhi. The mainly nonsensical story revolves around the hunt for some long-lost treasure, which at least gives Merhi the chance to film against some unfamiliar locations. The fight sequences aren't too bad, but things drag badly away from the action set pieces. On this evidence, it doesn't look as if Hong Kong film-makers have much to worry about.
