This might seem like double Dutch these days, but director Michael McCarthy's final film (he died the following year) was convincing enough on its release - a British pseudo-documentary, set in 1940, about a bunch of spies sent into Holland to recover a hoard of industrial diamonds before the Nazis get to them. Diamond expert Alexander Knox looks grave and concerned, while Peter Finch is dashing and daring. There's also a note of interest in seeing Eva Bartok, who more often starred in gossip columns than movies - her acting here shows why she was so frequently only deemed worthy of filling newspaper diary space.

When Germany invades Holland in 1940, a British intelligence officer and two Dutch diamond merchants go to Amsterdam to persuade the Dutch diamond merchants to evacuate their diamond supplies to England.
