"In every woman there is the girl she left behind."

- Director: Lesli Linka Glatter
- Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
- Studio: New Line Cinema
- Duration: 115 Mins
Overview:
Demi Moore co-produced this female version of Stand by Me, which follows four young girls (Gaby Hoffmann, Christina Ricci, Thora Birch, Ashleigh Aston Moore) in 1970 as they attempt to solve the mystery of the death of a local boy. It's a simple, small-town story, bookended by the present-day revelations of the girls, now grown up into Moore, Melanie Griffith, Rita Wilson (Mrs Tom Hanks) and Rosie O'Donnell. Lesli Linka Glatter (a former TV director on series such as er, Twin Peaks and NYPD Blue) delivers a sweet, unassuming film that should strike a chord with anyone who believes that life was better in the 1970s. Fans of Brendan Fraser should keep an eye out for his brief, uncredited performance as a Vietnam veteran.
