This is one of those all-star disasters that fall into the "What were they thinking?" category; then again, it was made by Millennium Films, the company behind similar A-list travesties 88 Minutes, Righteous Kill and Mad Money, so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised. Colin Hanks plays a young FBI agent who's surprised to discover that his once obese mother has turned into a middle-aged hottie (Meg Ryan). She's also dating Latin charmer Antonio Banderas, an art thief that Hanks is ordered to put under 24-hour surveillance. Director George Gallo milks a few laughs from the embarrassment Hanks suffers while monitoring the bedroom antics of his mother, but for the most part the film's hysterical tone is just grating. Meanwhile, the talents of a cast that also includes Selma Blair are wasted by the puerile script.
