"The most fun you can have without a passport."

Overview:
Lightning doesn't strike twice here for star Nia Vardalos, whose 2002 romantic comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding was the undoubted sleeper hit of that year. Again capitalising on her Greek roots, Vardalos plays Georgia, an impossibly glamorous Greek-American academic forced to work as a second-class tour guide in Athens. She swears this is her last summer leading a group of motley tourists to the famous sights of Greece, but soon rediscovers her joie de vivre thanks to a wisecracking widower (Richard Dreyfuss), as well as encountering a bit of romance with her initially unappealing coach driver (Alexis Georgoulis). Despite a game cast (that also includes impressionist Alistair MacGowen as a rival tour guide), this is a weak, predictable 1970s-style comedy travelogue that provides more hearty stereotypes than laughs.
