"She married the man of her dreams and found herself in the nightmare of her life."
- Director: Alan Metzger
- Genre: Drama, Mystery, TV Movie
- Studio: Andrea Baynes Productions
- Duration: 120 Mins
|
Overview:
The tabloid-style title does little justice to this tolerable true-life TV movie that explores the emotional and economic consequences of abandonment. Wisely, director Alan Metzger concentrates on the impact of a husband's deception on his family instead of the double-dealing itself. Jay O Sanders plays the duplicitous charity worker who fakes his suicide, only to be caught embezzling again a decade later. But the focus falls on Margaret Colin as the devoted mother who not only has to raise her two sons alone, but also has to deal with the pressures placed on them by the ensuing court case.
