Left in a coma for four years by an accident that prevented him from consummating his relationship with his high-school sweetheart, a young man awakes to discover that his beloved is now a Playboy centrefold and sets off to win her back. It's described as a comedy, but the word should be used loosely since Zach Cregger and Trevor Moore - the duo who've graduated from US TV series The Whitest Kids U Know to write, direct and star in this their first feature - conjure up not a single laugh in the process. As performers, Cregger's whiny sincerity (he's the one just out of hospital) is almost as grating as partner Moore's one-note man-child zaniness. As writers, their efforts to milk humour from the crassest of targets (epilepsy, post-coma bowel-control issues) fall by the wayside, while their directorial ineptitude mis-times any gag that had even a hope of garnering a smile.
