True to its title, this features a maniac in a policeman's uniform loose on the streets of New York City, killing any innocent people who stray into his path and giving the NYPD a bad reputation they don't deserve. (Stop laughing!) Bruce Campbell is the cop who takes the fall for the true killer and eventually hunts him down. Fairly well written (by Larry Cohen of It's Alive fame), but the acting can't keep up and Evil Dead star Campbell is given too little to do.
