Biopic of American general Douglas MacArthur, who earned a celebrated reputation with a series of victories in the Second World War, as well as for his work in rebuilding post-war Japan. However, his controversial approach to the Korean conflict led to his dismissal by President Truman. Starring Gregory Peck, Ed Flanders, Dan O'Herlihy, Sandy Kenyon and Ward Costello.

The film portrays MacArthur's life from 1942, before the Battle of Bataan, to 1952, when he was removed from his Korean War command by President Truman for insubordination, and is recounted in flashback as he visits West Point.
