DJ Darrell saves a woman from being attacked, only to find she is the wife of Frank Pacelli, one of New York's most powerful Mob bosses. The gangster offers Darrell a lucrative job as his daughter's bodyguard, but the DJ's life is made more complicated by a short-lived romance with his charge, as well as a Mob war and a treacherous gangster planning to take over Pacelli's empire.
