Here, director Anthony Hickox's high-energy kinky horror comic strip is hot-wired by a keen visual sense and big dipper drive. More a supernatural sadomasochistic action thriller than the murky Gothic nightmares of the previous two episodes, this kamikaze kaleidoscope of carnage is funny, original and unpredictable. Good performances, superior splatter and a wicked twist in the tale give the gleeful gruesomeness of this second sequel a winning edge.
