If you're allergic to Wookies, Boba Fett or lightsabers, look away now. Set in 1998, this uber-geek comedy in the Judd Apatow mould follows a bunch of 20-something Star Wars fans - Sam Huntington, Christopher Marquette, Dan Fogler and Jay Baruchel - who're on a harebrained quest to break into Skywalker Ranch and steal a copy of the long-awaited Star Wars Episode I: the Phantom Menacé from George Lucas's editing suite. Embarking on a road trip from Ohio to Marin County, the nerds end up fighting rival Star Trek fans, doing jail time and playing the tables in Las Vegas. Full of in-jokes (from a Carrie "Princess Leia" Fisher cameo to various recycled Star Wars sound effects), it's aimed squarely at the comic-book store, memorabilia-collecting fraternity, but its sweet-natured jibes at sci-fi fandom rarely raise much more than a few knowing chuckles.
