"In a time and a world of impossible love, he would accept nothing less than everything."
- Director: Moshe Mizrahi
- Genre: Drama, Foreign, Romance
- Studio: TriStar Pictures
- Subtitled | Duration: 110 Mins
|
Overview:
After a string of comedy successes - Splash, Bachelor Party and Volunteers - Tom Hanks took his first crack at something weightier in this modest romantic drama. He plays a Second World War pilot stationed near Jerusalem who falls for a local Jewish girl (Cristina Marsillach), much to the consternation of her family. Hanks looks a little uncomfortable in the lead role and there are hardly any familiar faces in the supporting cast. However, director Moshe Mizrahi pulls most of the right emotional strings and the presence of Hanks makes it an intriguing curiosity.
