You can't really blame Lew Grade. As an entrepreneur, he knew that star names sell movies; as a mogul, he had the power to pull together movie packages with big names. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts and intentions, most of his film-producing legacy is, regrettably, rather underwhelming. This is a prime example: a slight plot combines an ancient treasure caper with a Second World War escape adventure and wastes the talents of such diverse names as David Niven, Elliott Gould, Claudia Cardinale and Sonny Bono. And they aren't even the leads! If you can bear to watch a movie starring Roger Moore and Telly Savalas, then well and good, this might be the solution to while away a couple of hours.

During the World War II, the prisoners of a German camp in a Greek island are trying to escape. They not only want their freedom, but also seek an ineffable treasure hidden in a monastery at the summit of the island's mountain.
