This thriller was a big hit in the US, where women lined up to see Ashley Judd's wronged wife get her own back on her evil, cheating partner. What starts off as a romantic sailing trip turns into a nightmare when she wakes up one morning surrounded by coastguards with her spouse (Bruce Greenwood) missing and pools of blood all over the boat. Sent to prison for his murder, she discovers he faked his own death and has run off with their child and her best friend. Eventually released on parole, she decides to give her husband the punishment he deserves, inspired by the fact that she can't be tried for his murder twice. Judd gives a believable performance, but Tommy Lee Jones is in sub-Fugitive mode as the federal officer on her trail. It's completely preposterous, of course, but perfect mindless entertainment if you're in the mood.

Libby Parsons, wrongly convicted of her husband Nick's murder, thinks he is still alive. She survives the long years in prison with two burning desires sustaining her -- finding her son and solving the mystery that destroyed her once-happy life. Standing between her and her quest, however, is her parole officer, Travis Lehman. Libby poses a challenge to the cynical officer, one that forces him to face up to his own failings while pitting him against his superior and law enforcement colleagues, as she plunges into a desperate fight for justice, survival, and revenge.
