This hyper-kinetic joy ride is a follow-up to the action-packed 2004 French thriller District 13. The scene, once again, is a Paris of the near-future, where a walled-off district is both an outlaw enclave and a police no-go area. However, when unscrupulous property speculators plan to raze and redevelop the district, cop-and-crook heroes Damien and Leïto (played by the returning Cyril Raffaelli and David Belle) join forces to stop them. The original is now best known as the movie that introduced cinema audiences to the adrenaline rush of Parkour or "free running" (later to be seen to awesome effect in the opening scenes of the James Bond adventure Casino Royale). There's plenty of that breathtaking physical discipline here, but it's just one aspect of a movie that's entertaining from start to finish.

Damien and Leito return to District 13 on a mission to bring peace to the troubled sector that is controlled by five different gang bosses, before the city’s secret services take drastic measures to solve the problem.
