The story of John Dillinger, one of America's most notorious gangsters, has been told on the screen almost as many times as that of Al Capone. Here is one of the most recent versions of the tale, a TV movie starring Mark Harmon, who played the similarly notorious serial killer Ted Bundy in the 1986 TV movie The Deliberate Stranger. Harmon manages to be suitably sinister in this interesting film, which also features Sherilyn Fenn, of Twin Peaks fame, and Patricia Arquette. And watch out for a cameo from Lawrence Tierney, who starred in the 1945 version of the Dillinger story.
