Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant headline this initially promising tale of marital mishap, playing two estranged New Yorkers clumsily trying to repair their marriage. After witnessing an organised crime hit, they become targets themselves and are bustled off to Wyoming in the witness protection programme. Way out west, they then have to contend with good ol' boys, gun-toting locals, uncomfortable digs and being exposed as Democrats. Despite a high-quality cast and production, writer/director Marc Lawrence (Music and Lyrics) presents nothing new, funny or exciting in what could have been a classy fish-out-of-water farce. And Parker and Grant sleepwalk their way through a flatline comedy in which old jokes can be seen coming a mile away.

New Yorkers Paul and Meryl Morgan seem to have it all -- except that their marriage is crumbling around them. To protect them from an assassin, federal agents whisk away Paul and Meryl to a small town in Wyoming, where their marriage will crash and burn, or their passion will reignite.
