Just when you thought nothing original could be made of the buddy-cop genre, along comes Mark Goldblatt's outlandish horror-gore comedy. Treat Williams, who never quite hit the big time that his looks and easy charm perhaps merited, and Joe Piscopo star as LA cops who uncover a scheme by batty old Vincent Price (woefully misused in a cameo role) to resuscitate the dead. In a movie that's imaginative and disgusting in equal measure, a butcher shop full of meat comes alive to do battle with the heroes, while Williams himself hilariously turns into a zombie and has 12 hours to solve the case before decomposition sets in. Perry Mason was never like this!
