Director Robert Iscove looked to have made the break into feature films following She's All That in 1999. However, his earlier work was mainly restricted to proficient but routine TV movies such as this rather dull cop thriller. Hard-working Eric Roberts plays a new detective on the block who seems to have uncomfortably close ties to the serial killer he's meant to be tracking down. Familiar faces such as Paul Calderon and Nicholas Pryor pop up in supporting roles, but there's a seen-it-all-before feel to the whole project.

Homicide detective Walter D'Arcangelo is the only link to a serial killer who preys on adulterous women. Walter must confront his past in order to prove himself innocent before more women are killed.
